CUSTOM WOOD GARAGE DOOR IN NEWPORT BEACH

Custom, wood, garage door installed many years ago that we took over maintenance on. This garage door was installed by another company but had several installation problems that we inherited. The springs originally installed were sized incorrectly, making the door outrageously heavy. We ended up adding a 5th spring to the system to get the door to balance out correctly. The rollers and hinges also weren’t heavy duty enough for the door, so we changed them also to better ones made for the weight of the door. Lastly, the motor installed wasn’t strong enough to operate the door, and was always needing replacement parts. We changed out the motor to a LiftMaster 87802. Now that the garage door system is upgraded to handle the weight, it works awesome and has no issues and is reliable!Liftmaster 87802
